It's been stated that the Dangerous Women of Wrestling have paved the path for what women's pro wrestling is today. Before the "WWE Divas" and the "TNA Knockouts" there was the "Ho's" and the "Ho Haters"... DWOW TV quickly became referred to as the "female version of ECW", as the shows were raw and edgy. The Dangerous Women of Wrestling featured some of today's best pro wrestling superstars like Alexis Laree aka Mickie James, Jazz, Talia aka Velvet Sky, plus featured ECW veterans Jazz, Dawn Marie, and Wildfire aka Prodigette aka Angel Orsini, plus former WWE stars The Fabulous Moolah, Mae Young, Bobcat aka Cyndi Lynch, "Mr. USA" Tony Atlas, King Kong Bundy, and even former DWOW Tag Team champions the "Mighty Midgets" featuring King Sleazy & Little Louie (both former WWF Wrestlemania Superstars). In 2001, many wrestling fans buried DWOW before it even had a chance to air initially. As they say, the haters were out vocally in full effect in the early days of message boards and forums in the early internet days. However, once the Dangerous Women of Wrestling hit the TV airwaves in Philadelphia, South Jersey, and northern Delaware --the ratings told an entirely different story.

Upon making their television debut, the Dangerous Women of Wrestling were buried on WGTW's scheduling lineup at Sunday night at 1am (technically Monday morning at 1am --YES, the same WGTW that carried ECW, CZW, ROH, XPW, NWA, and WWE programming. Right out-of-the-box the girls company that no one thought could "make it", started to as the other fans and wrestling companies laughed --DWOW quickly started to draw ratings (even a the crappy timeslot), as the girls started to amass a wild and rabid fanbase that would support this dysfunctional women's pro wrestling company by watching the TV show weekly, buying merchandise, and tickets to live events. The fans just wanted to experience what was being broadcast on TV live and in person --and they were never let down!

With the green lit Season 2 of Dangerous Women of Wrestling, the show was moved to a new day and time which would prove to be a great plus for the girls and their supporters. DWOW TV now aired on Wednesday evenings at 12 midnight, a MUCH better placement than Sunday's at 1am... Big things were starting to happen... tune in and watch! Errrr...
